April 12-The Civil War begins

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. The date almost escaped my notice, as far as Civil War history was concerned, mainly due to its larger significance in the world this year. However, April 12, is also the annivesary of the firing on Fort Sumter by Confederate forces, which commenced the momentous struggle to save the Union.

On another note, sorry I have not been posting much this week, as I have been feeling under the weather. I ended up going to the hospital last night to see the doctor and found out that I have pneumonia and have started on antibiotics. I am feeling better today, but am still not one hundred percent, so my posting will be limited for the first part of this week. I hope to be feeling much better by mid-week.
